Broad Ripple Area Guide

The Broad Ripple Area

Broad Ripple is one of the most attractive places to visit in Indianapolis.  It's pubs, restaurants and hangouts are legendary.  Located just 8 miles north of downtown, on the northside of Indianapolis, it is a convenient and fun place to live.  Among the many neighborhoods around the Broad Ripple area are Meridian-Kessler, Butler-Tarkington, Rocky Ripple and Ravenswood.

There are many features that make Broad Ripple a unique and great place to live.  Broad Ripple park has a section dedicated for dogs.  It also has a ramp for boating on the White River.  Glendale Mall is home to the Broad Ripple Library, one of the largest in the city.  The Monon Trail links Broad Ripple to Carmel and downtown Indianapolis.  It is one of the largest walking trails in Indiana.

A present police force keeps the crime rate low in the city's most popular entertainment area.  According to the the Indianapolis Star, "few serious violent crimes occurred in Broad Ripple in 2002."  As many as 2500 people visit the Broad Ripple area on a given weekend.

For a full history of Broad Ripple, follow this link from the Polis Center.

The Broad Ripple area is not only a great place to visit, but also a great place to live.  If you are interested in moving to the Broad Ripple area, please email me.
